In this presentation, participants will learn about the limitations of currently discussed definitions of diversity and ways to challenge and expand their own thinking. Ifunanya uses her unique experience working with aspiring musicians on the autism spectrum and her studies to display the intersection of music and neurodiversity (specifically autism) and it how it can promote inclusion.

Alumni Empowering Students: Deena Saunders-Green

In this presentation, Deena Saunders-Green, MSW will provide an overview of the gaps within the current child welfare system as it relates to youth who are transitioning into adulthood. She will also make a case for social entrepreneurship as a viable solution to addressing the needs of vulnerable populations; particularly those who have experienced intergenerational and developmental trauma.
