Lauren Brown

is a doctoral student at the Davis School of Gerontology. Her research program is
motivated by the unique challenges faced by racial minorities in achieving healthy lifespans and her desire to understand what positive resources can be used to counteract this adversity. Lauren has published seven papers, three as first author, in top peer-reviewed journals in population health and aging. Lauren received her Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion and Disease Prevention from USC and a Masters of Public Health in Health Systems Management from Tulane. She recently accepted a highly competitive postdoctoral fellowship in the Institute for Social Research at the University of Michigan.
